Central Tax Building, Amsterdam, 1995-1996
For the Central Tax Building in Amsterdam, Barbara designed 7 tapestries in various techniques, measuring 280 x 520 cm each. The carpets represent the seven cultures (Arabic, Jewish, European, Surinamese, Indonesian, Dutch and Chinese) that have proven to be of great importance for the developement of the city of Amsterdam, and the Netherlands in general.
