TThe world of art is still a world of men. Research shows that only 13% of the works on display in Dutch museums is made by women. No matter how famous women artists were during their lifetime, most of them are forgotten or ignored by art history. The exhibition ‘Meesterlijke Vrouwen’ (‘Masterful Women’) aims to change this.
